This intensive 2-day course with afterwards an individual coaching session offers insight into career possibilities and helps you make choices for your future.

PhD candidates of Leiden University and the LUMC in their last year who want to reflect on their competences and motives related to making a decision on their the next step in their career.
You will gain insight into:
- Competences, motives and career possibilities in relation to your present or future job
- Pitfalls and challenges
- Possibilities for improving your employability
The course starts with a questionnaire as preparation.
During the course you will focus on questions as: what suits me, what am I good at, what gives me satisfaction and what gives me pleasure in my work. During the course additional concepts can be examined, such as talents, drivse and a competences quadrant. On the basis of career perspectives and motivation you will be able to make goal-oriented choices and to translate these into a personal profile.
You will also make a start on the development of your "personal brand". How do I present myself as a strong, distinctive and unique brand? You will get tips and advice for making a goal-oriented plan for your career. During the course you will receive personal feedback and tips for the future.
After the course you will have an appointment with the trainer for personal and professional feedback on planning your future as well as your personal profile.

Others (Phd's from LUMC) can enrol by returning the completed and signed registration formto HRM Training and Development (scanned & by email or by post).
If the date of the course is no longer in the overview in Self Service, this means that the course if full. In that case you can register for the same course on another date.

2017/2: Tuesdays 9 May and 30 May, from 9.00-17.00 hours,
individual appointment on 20 or 21 June (fully booked)
2017/3: Thursday 2 and 16 November, from 9.00 - 17.00 hours,
invividual appointment on 7 or 8 December
Venue: Academy Building/Faculty Club, Rapenburg 73, Leiden
The course amounts to 28 hrs in total, including attendance, preparation and homework.
PhD candidates (Leiden University and LUMC): no charge.
Our cancellation rules apply to all courses. Cancellation within two weeks before the first course date means we have to charge a cancellation fee of € 200.
